Uma Maheshwor Temple Manfred Sommer - Flickr Uma Maheshwor Temple, also known as Kwacho Dega , is another important temple in Kirtipur . It is dedicated to Lord Shiva ( Maheshwor ) and Goddess Parvati (Uma). The temple is built on a hilltop, from where visitors can enjoy a wide view of the Kathmandu Valley and the Himalayan ranges. The temple has a three-tiered pagoda style with beautifully carved wooden windows and doors. Inside, there are statues of Uma and Maheshwor along with other deities It is also a popular place for locals to gather and celebrate religious events.
